Love me,
that is all I ask of you
I know that’s asking for impossible,
but you were the girl
that made rain drops freeze in its tracks
with one burning glance
You were that girl, and
if anybody could love me, it’d be you
So, love me, that is all I ask…
She replied with, “I Can’t”
But there’s hope for me, after all —
everything you said you couldn’t do,
you can.
Your moans were long
and dragged like cigarettes.
The scratches on my back
burned like them, too.
Your sighs circulated room
as smoke would to lungs.
Cravings, insatiable.
Satisfied only by
the twirling of tongue -
trigger to gun.
Daily Haiku on Love by Tyler Knott Gregson
(via tylerknott)
The dark of the night
spills into my mind
And all I can do
is wait it out
as the tick of the time
tocks closer
to the peak of the morning
For the glow of the moon
is not enough
to light my mind’s alleyways of tonight -
I patiently wait
for the sunlight of tomorrow
to guide me back to major streets;
boulevards and avenues
that lead me back to you
There’s a beauty in sadness,
like how sky and ocean
defy the laws of parallelism
as they touch when it rains.
Don’t go
just yet
Linger
Linger with me in this bed a while longer
We’ve undressed our bodies and our minds
Such effort, to clothe them again…
Lover, just linger with me a while longer
I don’t think time would notice
if we spent three-hundred more seconds under these covers
And maybe, just maybe
you’d fall asleep in the security of my arms
Then I could steal another hour or two of your company -
I know it’s selfish of me,
but I can’t help wanting you near
if the clock and chance permits
So,
Don’t go
just yet
Linger,
linger with me
a while longer
Don’t fight,
nor fret
Linger,
linger with me
for just
a while longer
.
(I hijacked the phrase, “Don’t go just yet Linger” from in-mediasres. I hope she doesn’t mind. My apologies for not doing your words and sentiments any justice. She is in regular font, I am in italics.)
